One look at the Sharp Aquos BD-HDV22 and you'll notice something strange, somewhat akin to seeing somebody keep a dodo bird as a pet. What you get is a Blu-ray player that is placed side-by-side with a VHS tape player recorder, just in case you have a moldy collection of VHS tapes that you want to bring out for a spin for one last time. I think most people will leave the VHS part of the BD-HDV22 untouched and concentrate much more on the Blu-ray player function. Other features include a 250GB hard drive and burning capability. Of course, folks who have no need for the VHS part can always choose the BD-HD22 that comes with just the hard drive and Blu-ray player/burner.
